Our Story

It started with my dad’s business

The first computer I ever touched was a Dell my dad unboxed for his business. I was just a kid, but the moment that machine powered on, something clicked — and it never unclicked. By 13 I’d made up my mind: one day I’d build my own Christian computer gaming company.

Here’s the part I didn’t notice until much later: almost everything I built from then on was for a business owner. An hour calculator so my dad could stop doing payroll math by hand. A tutoring business I ran through college, teaching programming one student at a time. Years as a software engineer, building for companies of every size. The dream said “games” — but the pattern said something else: I build things that give business owners their time back.

When Covid turned the world upside down, I stopped ignoring the pattern. I went deep on native mobile, then websites, and now AI automations — and I built my company around the people I’d been serving all along: the owner doing everything themselves.

More than thirty years after that first Dell powered on, Byte the Rhino is that kid’s dream, grown up.

Why “Byte the Rhino”?

The name has layers. Byte is the rhino in our logo — that’s his name. In software, a byte is a small chunk of data. And that’s exactly what Byte is: our byte out of the RHINO — the embodiment of a small chunk taken out of the five things that eat your week:

  • R — Routines
  • H — Hassles
  • I — Interruptions
  • N — Neglect
  • O — Overload

Byte by byte, everything we build — websites, apps, automations — carves those five down, whether for your business or your life.

And the rhino himself? He doesn’t dodge. He charges straight at what’s in front of him — head-on, 35 miles an hour, skin two inches thick, standing guard over his territory.

That’s how we work.
